Protest Riots in Mexico City on Women's Day 2020

March 8, 2020. The day started out peacefully at Plaza Republica but over the course of the afternoon the crowd digressed from friendly to vandalism to big groups of angry young women beating and robbing random tourist men who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The sound stage that is overrun by protesters near the end of the video had been used on the previous evening for musical performances to kick off the Women's Day celebrations. The stage was a huge setup that was only partially taken down when it was overrun. Some of the workers who tried to defend the site were beaten and spray painted in the eyes.
