I waited around 30 minutes not knowing when the moon would show itself and captured this shot of the light reflecting off the clouds as it was rising above the mountain.

Waning Gibbous is the first phase after the Full Moon. It lasts around 7 days with the Moon’s light growing smaller every day until it becomes a Last Quarter Moon with an illumination of 50%. The moon rises later each night setting after sunrise in the early hours of the morning.
