๐Ÿ‰ [MELN] 1UP Operator Weekly Lab Report: eXode

Greetings, eXode pilots and civilians! Welcome to the fifth weekly eXode #oneup report! You may have noticed I that this week the cover image has no text or other overlays. The image is the latest planetary artwork released and I left it unedited as an homage to our relatively new artist! I'm particularly excited about this one since my planet, Casrarene, just so happens to be an ice world. Bring your Eisen Suits!

While everyone right now is focused on their planets and the upcoming colonization features, I have not forgotten about what will come later. BETA will bring so much new content to eXode including but not limited to the full game loop (Evac, Colonization, Legacy Rewards, repeat), new contracts (Corporations? Suits? Ship modules?), fleet staking, and our topic for today: Alliance Activities!

Are you in an alliance yet? There are several existing alliances. I hope I can name all of them! They are the [DAT], [OEA], [MILF], [AILF], [IOTG], "Star Wolves", and of course ๐Ÿ‰[MELN].

I am one of the founding fathers of ๐Ÿ‰[MELN] along with birdbeaksd@birdbeaksd who is our formal leader. We are the Market Expansion Leaders Navy and number 15 strong, if I'm not mistaken. We are an exclusive alliance made up of only elite pilots (those who pilots who have spent $500 in the shop). As such, we have a vast amount of resources at our disposal. We'll be needing them.

Probably the most exciting feature rumored to come are the alliance projects. We want to build a space station that will give a bonus to production. By production I mean the part where you, the player, manufacts items/technology from the raw resources and biofragments available on your home planet. When this momentous task is completed, it will hopefully act as an alliance hub, a trade haven, an oasis in the middle of the vast nothingness of space.

First of all, we're going to need energy, and *tons* of it. Energy is required for just about everything save for a few autonomous robots and vehicles. Supply Dropships, while having no apparent use at the moment, will likely explode in value once Colonization is developed and we discover their utility. They are energy guzzlers, though. If you plan to use this common air vehicle, then you'll definitely need to bring a TR-100 generator or two. The TR-20s just won't cut it, at least not in their base form (upgrading booster cards is yet to be released). Not to worry! This is not the only option we have! As a wise one once said, "*No. There is another...*"
Behold! The **Exploration Dropship**! It looks like a souped-up version of the Baldie Shuttle. Would this even fit *inside* a Baldie? Both dropships are "large prefabs" which means they take up the space of 3 normal pieces of cargo on your capital ship. This rare dropship is much more economical though. While they both have the same cargo capacity, the explorer can carry one extra crew member and requires a third less energy than its common counterpart! I am getting a little ahead of myself. If we're going to collaborate on a project, we'll have to find each other first. We're on different planets!
Communications Arrays will be especially useful for finding friends who also made it to the new galaxy. (Don't have one? The starter ship, Amarasia has a powerful comms module built in!) This array is another large prefab. For size reference, compare it to the supply dropship that's parked in the foreground. That dish must be huge! The transmissions we'll be sending out on this baby will definitely reduce our colony stealth and make it easier for the aliens to find us. I think it will be worth it. You know what the old people of Earth used to say, "No risk, no reward." To the melon!

Although I am a scientist by trade, I think my colony and I will be able to monetize our skills in favor of production for the good of the alliance. I think science and production compliment each other. You have to reasearch and design new inventions first before you produce them, am I right? I may not have the best cargo ship in the galaxy, but just wait and see. My team of scientists will cook up some wacky and outlandish technlogies!
As Elindos himself says, this will be a glorious year for eXode!
This is proto26, signing off.

What is eXode?

eXode is a real-time strategy space colonization game here on the Hive Blockchain. If you still have not purchased your starter pack, use this referral code (de7ed45) and you'll also receive 2 free Alpha Booster Packs with 5 NFT cards each along with a free Epic Alpha Character!

In the future, these lab reports will contain much more substance (and numbers!) including season objective rewards, legacy rewards (when your game...ends), and of course ๐Ÿ‰ [MELN] activities.
Be sure to check out eXode's only weekly giveaway hosted by birdbeaksd@birdbeaksd for a chance to win a Syndicate Auto Blaster.

What is The 1UP Cartel?

The 1UP-Cartel is a mix between a gaming guild like YGG (that invests into gaming assets and creates scholarships for gamers, sharing the gaming revenue), a dividend token (similar to BRO, LBI, INDEX and UTOPIS, paying out regular dividends to token holders from part of the revenue stream) as well as one of the most extensive curation service initiative on the Hive-Engine ecosystem thus far.
