Bisq - Decentralized Bitcoin Exchange Windows Application

As their website claims, "Bisq is an open-source, peer-to-peer application that allows you to buy and sell cryptocurrencies in exchange for national currencies. No registration required." That last part is interesting, and it appeals to me. How is it that they are able to do this? After all every website has to have some login. Certainly the way Steemit users go about logging in is a blog post in and of itself but how does Bisq accomplish having a decentralized exchange with no registration required?
The answer is simple: It's a downloadable program! How nostalgic. But nice. And in the era of bloated web apps perhaps having some of these very high function programs that involve both client and server side computation just be locally hosted apps is kind of refreshing.

It's also a very nice entry point from fiat into crypto, which as you all know can then be transferred anywhere with a few copy/paste commands.
