Brawl Report - The Glory of Chimney Wallstop on a Roll

I did not intend to share a brawl this week. Our guild, the mighty THGaming 2 team, has been doing great thanks to our strongest players crushing it in their frays, but we were up against very strong competition, including one of the feared YGG clans.

But, the beauty of watching Chimney Wallstop get going is just too wondrous to keep to myself haha!

This is a Novice fray, with 32 Mana, and only Fire and Dragon splinters allowed. You can see below that the battle conditions were No Armor and No Healing. Normally in Dragon splinter I look for any chance to use my Legendary Gladius card, Larissa Kerato, but with no Armor, my only Dragon Summoner is kind of useless and focusing on Magic attacks did not confer any special benefit, such as striking past armor.

To my mind, then, this was perfect Chimney Wallstop conditions. This card is so tempting to use, but I have found that a lot of players will have a tank with armor and often will deploy some other card that heals armor, so Chimney will waste his attack on armor, my tank will die, then chimney will get eaten by magic attacks (usually). But without armor, this card can become a truly scary tank. If you add +1 melee damage thanks to the starter Fire summoner, it is about as perfect a chance to let Chimney bash away as I am likely to get!

Chimney is a basic Gladius card, a lot of people who do Guild Frays have him, so hopefully if you have not had a chance to see him go wild, you will enjoy what he is capable of here. :)

In this battle, all you really need to know is that even though my opponent won the speed-ties and went first, this is what Chimney was looking like with only 2 opponent cards left, thanks to his Bloodlust skill:
