Sewing a simple but stylish outfits for my kids .

Hello everyone and am glad to be here and am super grateful that i could make it to @needleworkmonday before the end of the day
Though it has been hectic.

Being a mom hasn't been easy,i remember the first thought that drove me into sewing was the gifts of female children.
I have been blessed with girls and i don't take it for granted,as a mom i have engaged in many skills especially the ones that would give me an advantage for my kids.

Hence i started sewing to reduce to reduce expenses
My kids birthday was around the corner
Most times i celebrate my two daughters at once because they share close dates,24 and 25 while the lastborn is two weeks after.

I didn't have much this year and i didn't intend to spend much but i still wanted to celebrate them in my little way.
The first thing i did was to sew a nice outfits for them and then to take them out for a mini party

I sewed a short flare skirt for them and a nice top
I needed a style that will be easy yet beautiful
Since i was to sew for three kids at once.

I cut out their skirt first before going for the tops
For the waist ,since they were kids i made an elastic for them so that it will be comfortable
My kids feels comfortable with elastic waist band than zip or hook

After cutting out the flare i created the waist band and their skirt was ready

I proceeded to make their tops,i took their measurements and i started cutting

I had to add pleating to the upper part of the top so that it can be a bit beautiful

And honestly i was tired as night was approaching
I didn't start early because i had customers clothes i worked on.
So i tried as much as possible to complete the sewing but the beading i had to fix it the next day because i was so tired

But in all am super glad that was able to make their day colourful even when i had little.
