I found some vintage bottles!
Meat Jars and Milk Bottles
Whilst out metal detecting again at the weekend i stumbled upon another bottle dump. This one was a little bit later probably from around the late 50's. Some of the bottles were dated late 40's but most were in that 1950-57 period.
A lot of the bottles here were broken, either melted in a fire or shot at. I picked through what was on the surface and grabbed the most interesting ones that i saw.
This is a Peck's Paste Jar from the 1930-1950 era, it would have held Meat Paste or Fish Paste. I grabbed it as it looks like a Hand Grenade! Will make a wicked shot glass :)
This one is a milk bottle, it's a pint in size. Very common from the time period, i grabbed it as it had the embossing on it and most of the ones i've seen have been smashed.
The last one is some kind of sauce bottle. It's made by the Australasian Jam Company from Melbourne. It dates from the late 1930's. The 8 sides give it a cool look as the light comes through it
I hope you enjoyed seeing these. As i find more i'll add them
