Live Model Session.

Hi everyone!

Today I share with you another session of sketches I made.

Now I am starting to add values to my sketches. This is something that I sometimes haven't done in the last few weeks during my practice, because years ago I tended to concentrate on the tones, hoping that the quality of my drawing would be better. But that is not a good process. We shouldn't use shading as a corrector because it doesn't do that. It is a common beginner's mistake to think that way.

So, without the shading I tried to focus more on shape and volume.

Now, I think I've improved my understanding of volume, so I'm back to using shading in my drawings.

But I admit that I still used to shade in a very mechanical way, I just look at the reference to see where the shadows are and I transfer that to the sheet.
But I should study more on why there is a shadow on this or that area.
