Seeing Things In The Dark
The dark is always a scary place.
What could be there? What could be hiding?
When we were younger we would play games with creatures in the dark.
Sometimes I still see them.
The dark is filled with monsters,
and no one dares to hide in the dark.
When you were younger you used to scream
at the monsters hiding under your bed.
People grew out of it,
they knew that the monsters weren’t real.
They were children stories,
nothing was in the dark.
But I can still see them.
The monsters in the night.
I know I shouldn’t be,
but I’m still seeing things in the dark.
