Working Without Wages
There is a saying that the labourer is worthy of his wages, here in my country, I can't really fathom why people will work for people and will not get paid for their work.
My younger brother is a technician who specializes in installation and repairs of Air conditioners, He also repairs Refrigerators too.
There is this man who gives him jobs to do and he has been doing these jobs faithfully, only for him not to be paid since the month of March till date, he hasn't received payment.
I asked him today and he informed me that the job they were currently handling was a contract job of the Higher class, which the said money has not been released yet by the said Higher class.
I remember when I worked at my old working place and was owed for several months and this process kept on repeating itself.
I feel the higher class does not really know what it means to work for someone and not get paid.
The higher class do not know how poor people manage to work so that they could feed themselves and their families and also pay bills.
As a lower class citizen, most times it is not easy to survive in my country. People are working very hard to survive the economy, but the more they work, the more they are being owed of their wages.
And it is not easy to run two different jobs in this part of the world due to how things are structured.
Where does the rich and high class expect their workers who are of the lower class to get m0ney from to take care of themselves or support their families when they are being owed their wages.
The rich and high class in my country needs to do better than this.
