MY INTRODUCTION POST

Hello everyone, my name is Dickson Dede Peace. I hail from okrika local government area, Rivers State, Nigeria. Yes, I am Nigerian.
I am the last of four children. My mother is a business woman and has been one for as long as I can remember. Dad on the other hand is a jack-of-all-trades.

I attended the Young Women's Christian Association(YWCA) Foundation, Okrika (a school for toddlers). And for my basic education, I attended Blessed Group of Schools okrika, then known as Blessed Nursery and Primary School, Okrika, Rivers State. Growing up with my dad I always have to be the best when it comes to my education. Dad made sure of it. I was never to slack behind or misbehave with my grades, as to him it would be a huge disgrace and slap to his face if I had anything less than an A. I never really had friends as a child, it was just I and my books.

After my basic education, I moved to Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State to forward my high School education. There, I attended one of the most prestigious high schools, Aladumo International High School Omagwa Rivers State. It was owned by my grand aunt, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Ngor favour Ogan, a disciplinarian and great woman of value and standard. High school was a bit rough for me after grand aunt fell ill to the hands of stroke but I still made it out without a scratch.

As at July 2016 at 15years, I was a high school graduate with very good academic and athletic records but I was not opportunity forward to college immediately. I started working at a bakery where I picked up a few skills in the act of making bread and other easy chops.

In August 2016, I enrolled myself at a stadium where I got to train for athletics career. It was going well until I sustained an internal injury I still haven't healed from till date. The following year was a really tough one for me as I lost my other sister to the cold hands of death. I had to move back to my hometown to assist mum, cause she could not handle the death of my big sister, thereby falling ill.

During my stay there, I had to get a teaching job at my formal basic School, as to assist the family. In all these, I was still working on getting accepted into a college of my choice.
After much processes, in March 2021, I got admitted into the Rivers State University to study philosophy. I am currently a 300-level students of philosophy at the prestigious Rivers State University.

I love reading, writing traveling(though haven't been opportuned to go for), modelling (which has been a side hustle for a while) and just mere having fun. And yes, I do enjoy my lone-time a lot.

I first heard about this platform from my best friend Hive account@henry-glowz. He told me since I loved writing, I could showcase my originality via this platform and I would love it a lot. I plan on writing more and improving on myself via this platform. And I love to interact with people from different origins and ethnicities. I think I would love my journey on hive.
