Repairing Some Magnet Clips

Hello friends! I am a firm believer in repair and repurpose, so I was happy to finally figure out a way to repair these magnet clips that the handles broke off of.

The original handles were this plastic rubber stuff that the metal springs just popped through over time. So:

I had these little pegs from some flat pack furniture that was falling apart so I disassembled years ago. I used a small drill to put holes in one end.

Then I put a drop of super glue in the hole and stuck them onto the ends of the metal springs:

It worked! Let's do the rest of them. I had enough pegs, thankfully.

My penchant for saving little bits and bobs for potential future use in some project or another comes in handy! LOL

Now the super glue has to set for at least a day before I can test it to make sure that's a strong enough hold. I'm not sure if I will paint them or leave them bare wood. But I'm happy to have my clips functional again! :)

Repair and upcycle FTW!

Thanks so much for reading and have a wonderful week!
