Coffee and Philosophy: Art
The concept of art and the struggle to define and interpret it has always amused me. I guess the old quote "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," really makes sense here. I find that anything we pour our passion and creativity into can be considered art. I often think of people themselves as a sort of art. It raises the question, if people are art, who is the artist that creates them? Is it an act of self conscious creation? Is it divine creation that makes us all infinitely unique? Regardless of how you answer those questions, I think it's good to remember that everyone is unique as is all original artwork. Artwork can be words, painting, buildings, or anything else we create. Perhaps life itself is an art. What do you think? Namaste.
