The Wind Beneath My Wings

I could have never gotten anywhere without believing in myself. I had had some achievements on the way but a couple of years ago, I started feeling like my musical career just wasn't going anywhere. I felt like I've tried just about everything and things didn't quite work out the way I wanted them to. I was seriously considering that it was the end. That that was it. That I was just gonna stay at home and play for the four walls. And I felt pretty sad about it.

Enter the scene - Bai Kamara Jr. - an old artist friend of mine from the time when I lived in Brussels. He happened to have a radio interview in Hilversum, so we met, caught up on life and music and things took turn for the better! Where I had no more steam to keep on going, Bai infused it with his enthusiasm and belief in me. I felt reborn, 'activated', supported, encouraged and most importantly I felt like someone truly believed in me and was supporting it with his actions.

The concept of "Surrender" live EP was born, Bai jumped on board first as an artistic advisor and then as the producer. And the rest is history.

Every day I'm filled with gratitude for his support, especially during these difficult covid times when it takes some cajones to keep thinking positive while testing negative 😉

And so I want to thank you, Bai, from the bottom of my heart for being the wind beneath my wings when I thought I could no longer fly. You showed me that it wasn't the case. And now, during these trying times, we're gonna perservere once again and emerge stronger, better, smarter, kinder.
