World’s first full-body transplant operation…

This morning, at 7:00am PST, with my alter-ego’s assistance, I performed the world’s first full-body transplant operation. It involved my dog and cat. Both of them are resting now, but they are both pulling through like real troopers. Here was the procedure… I first placed the donor, named Felix, on the living-room couch. I then harvested Felix’s entire body and placed it on the floor. Then I placed the recipient, named Buddy, on the couch. I then carefully replaced the entire body of Buddy with the body of Felix.

This is a monumental scientific breakthrough on several levels. Previous transplant operations where mainly focused on single-organ transplants. A liver here, a heart there. Nothing to write home about. More recently, some multi-organ transplants have become more common. These efforts were wonderful in their own limited ways. But never before has an entire body transplant, involving all organs, been attempted.

Unlike pretty much all other transplant operations, where one of the parties was left missing one or more parts, this operation was amazing in that it was able to preserve all internal organs, of both patients, in their original healthy state. Not even a single incision was required. Not even was any anesthetic required. Take about pushing the envelope in non-invasive surgical techniques!

This experiment is also the most dramatic example to date of a successful cross-species transplantation experiment (aka xenotransplantation).

With this incredible success in animal surgical experimentation, I will soon attempt a full body transplant on a couple of my neighbor’s kids. I am just waiting for the Patient Acknowledgement and Consent Forms required by law that I emailed to their parents. I will report the results here on Steemit.com if all goes well.
