You can drink water as much as you can in Assisi

If I had to pick out the uncomfortable things while traveling in Europe, the first one is a public toilet, and the second is drinking water. In the case of restaurants in Asia and the United states, you can drink as much water as you want. However, in Europe, I had to pay to drink water even at the restaurant in most cases. However, it seems that water resources are abundant here in Assisi. There are many historical remains where water was stored, and mineral springs where you can drink to your heart’s content stand out anywhere.

It was hot day and night. While walking down the street at night, I saw children sitting peacefully near the spring to cool off.

There is a bending machine in the square of Assisi that kindly marks the place where water springs up. However, you have to put a coin in here for water to come out. It's funny that there is a spring for free within five-minutes walk at the Cathedral of St. Clara(Basilica di Santa Chiara). It's funny.

Another characteristic element of Assisi is the springs spread throughout the city. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and served a vital function in earlier times when there were no modern capitals. Today it adorns the city and provides coolness to visitors in the summer months.
