Patience game

Bei Carabietta (auf der Rückseite: Landschaft mit Haus vor Bergen) by Herman Hesse, 1927

It is said that Hesse enjoyed painting landscapes. He called it the patience game. It was a kind of work, but it gave the appearance of meaning to his lonely and empty days, and thought that it was act of work less harmful than doing (meaningless) work just for getting much paid.

I can't draw well like Hesse. But just want to kill time with a heart like Hesse. And this job too, to me, is the game of patience that Hesse spoke of.
