Taking A Break
Good day my friends here on the community.
Few minutes ago I drew a small creature taking a break, sitting on a stump and eating a carrot. He has been walking for a while, bag set down beside him, and this is where he stops to enjoy a quiet meal. there is no rush, no reason to move yet. just time to eat and appreciate the view around, notice he is looking away.
I guess that is note to myself that is to take a few minutes each time I sit to do something and look away to avoid eye strain.
I wanted this to stay simple and steady. just a quiet moment that doesn’t try to be anything more. the kind of pause you take without thinking about it. But wow is he flexing those nice shoes while trying to be quiet?
I want to use the shapes that are soft and rounded that is on purpose. nothing sharp, nothing loud. the colors stay warm and grounded so everything feels settled. the carrot stands out just enough, like it’s the only thing that matters right now. but the shoes are brighter orange they look more carrot to me now that I noticed.
This is the kind of drawing I make when i want to slow down. no fixing, no overworking, just letting it sit as it is. What about you D.A.D. fam what sort of drawing you make to chill and calm your mood?
