The step by step process of how I make this beautiful short bubu gown with pleating V neck.
Hi everyone.
Season greetings to you all, I hope you all are doing perfectly fine, today I will be sharing with you guys on the step by step process of how I make this beautiful short bubu gown with pleating V neck, as a surprise gift for my friend using another Ankara material to combine.
A beautiful friendship needs cares and love, my friend, Grace, kept this beautiful Ankara for long time now, and it was given to her by her grandma, a very beautiful and nice material, so she once told me that she will be using it to sew a beautiful free bubu gown with it, well she called me last month telling me that she will be attending her school mate traditional marriage last week but the news is that the traditional marriage uniform has finished so she was so disappointed because she wanted a new dress to wear
I was keeping quiet because I didn't want to let her know that I will sew for her because I wanted to surprise her, since her material was with me and she said she's coming back Thursday which was last week so she would attend the marriage on Saturday, so last week was a very busy week for because I was trying to finish up the children uniform, finishing with the children uniform I quickly brought out her material because it only one day that remains for me to sew her clothes which was on Wednesday, soni quickly use my measurements.
And I placed the material and cut out the both front and back, I cut out the back neck and cut out the front v neck then I used another Ankara fabric to cut out the front two side pocket then I went to the sewing machine and top stitch them down.
So I still use the same Ankara fabric that I used for the pocket and used for pleating the V neck, so I firstly joined the front and the back shoulder together then I pleated the fabric round the back and front dress carefully.
I then joined the body together so I just rush out to the weaving shop and weave it because it was in the evening time, then I bend the down hem and bind the two side sleeves.
Here is the outcome of it.
My friend came back on Thursday and visit me, she was so surprised like she didn't expect to see it and she even came asking if I will have chance to sew her fabric for her surprising I came out with her cloth, she was so excited and the gown fit her very well and look nice on her.
Thank you so much friends for reading through, do have a nice day.
