PHONELESS FOR THE WEEKEND
If I could live without my smartphone for a weekend, the answer would be yes. having to live without it has its set of challenges and difficulties as well as its importance and benefits. In the world today, we do almost everything with our phones ranging from communication and getting vital information we need to get. Just imagine a weekend without a phone and the inconveniences it will give to us.
One of the greatest difficulties would face is communication. we won't have that seamless communication either through calls, text, or social media apps. In case of emergencies, one might not be able to reach us, and it can cause worries and concern.
Not being on social media space can sometimes make us miss updates from friends and families. These days social lives have become increasingly digital, and one may feel disconnected from the world during a phone-free weekend.

However, this idea of being phoneless for a weekend is not without its benefits that's why sometimes when I have been overwhelmed with the happenings on social media and the constant notifications, I can go off on all social media apps for a while. That's why being phoneless for a weekend is not a big deal for me because it offers me a chance to step back, refocus, and enjoy the little things in life that often go unnoticed due to the constant distractions of my smartphone.
Disconnecting brings a sense of calm and peace to me. Its continuous notifications and updates from various apps can cause me stress and anxiety because I don't know the kind of news am going to see online. In a way, I have time to ponder about other things in my life. Sometimes, it allows me to have more face-to-face conversations with family members rather than being on my phone and surfing the internet all day.
Fewer distractions from my smartphone help me concentrate on other things which brings about more productivity and focus. I've always been a victim of just one more video from Tiktok and I'll end up watching more distracting me from other things. The weekend without a phone can help me avoid such temptations
Being phoneless for the weekend can offer me a sense of liberation and a much-needed break from the digital space. That doesn't mean am throwing away my phone. It's just that having these kinds of breaks once in a while is beneficial to us all. However, it's a matter of choice and preference. For those seeking that calm from all notifications, it would be nice to have such breaks once in a while.
Have a lovely weekend!
