The Struggle
The Struggle
In vain I tried to stop writing
But it was so frightening
At intervals, it stopped
Time again and again it cropped
Snoring like a retiree
Lo, his candle burns away
Being a prisoner he is not free
Oops, nature has come to waylay
Oh God, what a creature!
A pal with a familiar nature
Like the old drunk's signature
He builds his African future
Is it academy or habit, I must ask
The two are in the same mask
The school erected this task
He needs Lipton water from the flask.
