Initiative Q

I'm pretty skeptical this will be successful, but I do like the idea... essentially distribute a new currency widely all at once, and see if it sticks.

When Margaret Thatcher wanted to encourage the middle class to invest, she distributed shares from household name state-owned enterprises to citizens across the UK.

When Iceland was reeling from their financial crisis, a cryptocurrency developer started Auroracoin, and distributed the coins to every citizen (or attempted to).

I'm sure we could point to other similar initiatives from human history, some which would be known as huge successes, and some what inevitably failed.

We'll see where this one goes in the end. Who knows?
