Wednesday Walk; Farm Inspection

It's another work free Wednesday, and being my off day, i decided to check on my crops. I am so excited seeing my crop blossom and imagining what my harvest will look like.

Farming is a very interesting profession, but many people see it as hard work. Farming has its tedious side, so thus every others profession.
Agriculture is one aspect of life that can never be underestimated because humanity depends on it for survival.

Without the cultivation of crops and rearing of animals, survival would be difficult. Just as humans depend on plants, plants also depends on humans.

During photosynthesis, the plants processes its own food in the present of sunlight, water and carbon dioxide(air), Humans releases Carbon dioxide through respiration and other activities, while plant releases oxygen which human needs to survive. This relationship shows how humans and plants are dependent on each other.

In this part of the world, it's corn season, which is also an exciting season, especially for those who love eating corn. Corn is sold along every roadside, and It is one of the most accepted and popular roadside snacks in Nigeria.

So today, i decided to take a walk on my corn farm. Generally, it takes three months for the corn plant to its reach maturity. It's one corp i enjoy cultivating and consuming. My corn is doing very well, although it has not yet matured. But in about three weeks' time, it should be ready for harvesting.

While inspecting my corn my farm, i noticed a matured bunch of fresh coconut, and we harvested them and freshly enjoyed it.
Moments like this reminds me that although farming is demanding and tedious,the harvest season makes all hard work worthwhile. Beyond the enjoyment as a farmer harvest time also create an opportunity to earn income.
