Walking in a vineyard.

Several views in the vineyard and then a look at the west building up for a storm.

The picture above is towards the left-hand side of the mountain.

I took the photos in the vineyard during our morning power cut. Better than sitting at home during a power cut, and I think that you will agree. We had another power cut later in the afternoon and I put some photos in the second half of this post.
So, I have 2 scenes in here, early morning and late afternoon. 6 photos of the early morning and the rest of the photos were taken in the late afternoon.

This was the center show of the mountain.

And this below was at the right-hand side of the mountain.

Now please tell me if you can see the bird in this vineyard lane.

No? Can you see the bird now?

There it was and it's a Spotted Thick-knee (Burhinus capensis).

Now, let's have a look at the mountain range later in the day.
This was during the second power cut.

It all started like this, and the clouds blew over from the lone mountain in the top pictures. I love the views of the mountain peaks and we are blessed to have the Hottentots-Holland mountain range running around the back of the ocean bay that we live in. Our town is in the center between the mountains in the east and the south and the ocean in the west.

Oh yes, during the night we had some heavy rain here, and I was glad that I could get the storm build-up on the mountain peaks. We know that the rain was a sign to tell us that we are going to have a very wet winter this year, as we live in a winter rainfall area. But not that we, or the farmers mind, as the rain fills our dams and that is always good news. Last year we had a warm winter and that is not good for the apple orchards on the farms, as the trees need intense cold to sleep during winter. Thankfully, we still had some bumper apple crops, but I don't know what will happen in this coming winter period. The winds here, have also gained extra strength this year, but we see this all over the world and many countries are suffering from the severe weather patterns.
Another strange occurrence is that dams, that were bone dry for many years, now suddenly fill up overnight. So, new records are being set all over.
