The ageing process.
The views in here reminded me about how temporal our journey in life is.
In our prime, as adults, we are energetic and full of life. Many of us think that life is a song and dance and look forward to facing any challenges. We reap in awards and successes, and build ourselves up in our work, social, and reputation achievements. All that I want to describe here is a life that is just as beautiful as the picture above.
But then a leveller starts to set in as all of us are steadily growing older. What now? Things start to ever so slowly grow more difficult with each passing year. We start to forget important things, and we say things that we didn't mean. Our health gradually starts to degenerate, and we don't find things so easy to do anymore.
Just like this flower, our looks start to fade.
Look at the difference between this picture below and the tag picture. Not so bright and lovely anymore.
Some of us start to have our hair falling out and the three shots below ended up in baldness. Lol.
And that is it! The journey in life is just about done.
These are the lessons I see in nature, and the pictures tell me that we should all appreciate our short journey on this planet. I speak from experience, having lost all the flowers in my life and now I am also nearing the age that the last picture explains. But I have no regrets and I don't allow the past to burden me, as life is what it is and every yesterday is history.
They say that as we get older, we get wiser, but I stay away from this view as I as usual just continue to keep my life as simple as possible. No screaming, no fights, no anger, just to continue to make my way through life. Yes, there are many traps and pitfalls in life, but acceptance plays a big role in it. There are none that are perfect and forgiveness is my way of handling arguments. It really makes life simpler.
Such is life.
