Sheer cuteness in here.

Cuteness of a furry kind and I am sure that you will also enjoy it, as much as we did when I took the photos.

Shame the double trouble facing the tired mom must have scared her, and another little one was waiting at the side to also get in for some milk.

We also have rock hyraxes further up north in the country, and wherever high rocky ridges appear one would invariably find these little critters. So, I have decided that seeing as it's Sunday, that I will show you a real relaxing post to enjoy.

So, the mom decided to make a getaway, and she took a left escape :)

And logically triple trouble followed her.

Did you know that Rock Hyraxes are related to Elephants?

The rock hyrax has a pointed head, short neck, and rounded ears. It has long, black whiskers on its muzzle. The rock hyrax has a prominent pair of long, pointed tusk-like upper incisors, which are reminiscent of the elephant, to which the hyrax is distantly related. The fore feet are plantigrade, and the hind feet are semi-digitigrade. The soles of the feet have large, soft pads that are kept moist with sweat-like secretions. In males, the testes are permanently abdominal, another anatomical feature that hyraxes share with elephants and sirenians.

Now here was another cute scene.

The small one was carefully watching for a friendly smile.

But not to be and I liked to watch his back feet.

Yep! ready to sprint to the mom, but no luck yet.

So, the baby tried some cuteness.

Oh, please mommy, you know that I love you. Just a small sip of milk please.

Just as the baby reached the mom, they both looked back, as someone appeared under the car.

It was the dad, and the baby wisely decided not to disturb the mom. The sun was also lighting things up and it was a very peaceful scene.
Daddy knows that mommy is tired, and now he is watching and mommy is resting. And baby follows suit.

Now was that cute or what? I wish my children during their baby days were as docile as that little one in the last picture. But not to be and many early morning hours were spent changing wet nappies and all of the other things that human babies can get up to. I think that in nature it is the same, as tiny little birds scream for food constantly and the poor parents always look worn out. The same with all of the other animals and it is only a baby thing.

Now thankfully my youngest has her own child and so do the other two have their own children, so I am getting my revenge :)
Only joking as we love the lot of them and maybe with a little grace, I will see one of my great grandchildren in the not too far off future. It will be another record bust, as I am the last one alive of my own direct family, and I have not seen my own grandfathers, as they died before I was born. I have had the honor to see and love my grandchildren and it is a real blessing. Just the way that life works sometimes.
