Impressive sculptures on show.

If you haven't visited the Lourensford Wine Estate, you don't know what you are missing.

I will show you some great sculptures on show outside an art center on the estate, and there is so much to see and to do during a visit here. A wide variety of activities are offered to visitors. Two 5-star restaurants, famous for their meals, and of course wines that are made at the estate. Just a brief description here, and I am sure that you will see many other activities available on their website. Simply Google "Lourensford Wine Estate" to see more.
Oh! And this is in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

Now to get back to the sculptures, I will show 3 shots of an "African Blou Wildebeest" including the tag picture. Then I have 2 shots of a baby Rhinoceros. Followed by 3 shots of a Lioness with her cub, and finally a meditating lady.

Look how cute does the baby Rhino lift its front foot, as if it was ready to take the next step.

And then we have a lioness jumping over a wall with her baby.

I love the expression on the baby's face.

And finally, to add some color with the meditating lady below. There are four of them around to be found in a square water feature and I have posted some of them before.

I forgot to mention that there is also a great coffee roastery on the premises and they roast imported coffee beans from across the African continent. There are also some from South America and other places. We like to sit in the openair seating outside at the front of the roastery under some big Pin Oak trees, with a mug of coffee of course. The estate protects nature and it attracts many bird species for bird lovers to get on camera. Just imagine taking a great shot of an African Fish Eagle, and that is why I love to visit the many wine estates that we have here. As they say, it is a photographer's paradise.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
