A spell of creativity.

I saw the sun halo forming and decided to do something different with it.

No that's not my face in the halo, as it is the head of a Cheetah statue in the sun halo :)

So, let me show you how our day started. I was on nil per mouth from 10pm last night, as in my preparation for a hospital procedure, I had to go for an iron test early this morning. We wanted to be first in line at the testing laboratory, so we left this morning while it was still dark.
Thankfully the day had some unexpected gifts for me that I will show you in here.
But first let's have a look at our early departure.

The sun was gradually awakening as you will see in the 3 photos here.

As you know, nil per mouth is not a nice thing the next morning and I was dying for a cup of coffee. So we stopped at the nearest coffee house after leaving the hospital and it so happened to be the place where I got the Peregrine Falcon in a high tree that I posted before. After coffee I walked over to the tree, and I saw the start of a sun halo in the sky.

A big surprise awaited, as I saw this peregrine coming in to sit in the same tree. But it was not the same peregrine that I saw before, as this one still had its juvenile colors on its chest. These are resident Peregrine Falcons (Falco peregrinus) and not the migratory ones.

Then I got the idea to go to a farm and to wait for the sun halo to develop.

Some of you will remember this "Freedom" statue that I posted before.

Now look what it looked like from the other side with the sun halo next to it. A sheer show of freedom.

This was a very big male statue and it seemed that it was watching the halo.

Now where have you been? I have been waiting here all morning and I hope that you brought nuts.
You can see that when we arrived back home the squirrel was not smiling, and I did apologize to the little one. Of course we had nuts and all was soon well again.

Thankfully the guy that drew the blood this morning was handy with a needle, as I have no blue marks on my arm yet. The last time I was not so lucky and it looked like I was in an accident afterwards :)
I have had so many needles in my lifetime that I can now guide the testers to the correct spot, but this guy didn't need my help, as he was a real professional.
So now we have to wait 3 days for the iron results.

In any case, it was a great morning with some lovely surprises and I hope that I made them count with my camera. This is what I love when I go out there, as one can never know what to expect and quite often one has to either improvise or try something new.
So the weatherman was correct with his prediction of rain tomorrow, as the halo is a sign of rain, but it will only be light rain, as the halo's colors were not dark and intense.

I hope that you have enjoyed the photos and the story.

And That's All Friends.
