Difference between Honda Jazz i-DSI and i- VTEC
Hi planet-auto..
Maybe this is my first post on the community, I hope everyone here will accept me as a new member.
And in my first post, we will discuss a little about the Honda Jazz engine, as we all know that this Japanese car manufacturer has just released their newest product, the All New Honda Jazz.
With the i-Vtec engine, this latest product is clearly superior to the previous machine using the i-DSI, for that we will review a little about the advantages and disadvantages of these two machines.
The Honda Jazz i-DSI is powered by an L15A type engine, 1.5 liter inline 4 cylinder 8 valve SOHC i-DSI.
The engine is capable of producing power up to 87 hp at 5,500 rpm, while the torque reaches 128 Nm, equivalent to 2,700 rpm.
The Honda Jazz i-VTEC is supported by an L15A type engine, 1.5 liter inline 4 cylinder 16 valve SOHC i-VTEC.
The engine is capable of producing power reaching 110 Tk at 5,800 rpm, while the torque reaches 143 Nm or the equivalent of 4,800 rpm.
i-DSI has a fuel efficiency character, because it has two spark plugs that work for more efficient fuel combustion.
While the i-VTEC is more about performance, because it can adjust the combustion valve opening according to the needs of the engine load.
“Simply put, the i-DSI has two spark plugs that function to do double combustion, so the power achieved by combustion is more efficient.
For the power character, the i-VTEC engine only has one spark plug for combustion, but the system can regulate the combustion valve opening. The opening will be adjusted to the engine load.
