Path by the sea by
@duskobgd
What a spectacular adventure, and the climb was absolutely worth it. That staircase took you to little pockets of paradise amongst the trees and allowed you to enjoy the tunnels, which, by the way, are plentiful and lovely to explore. I’ve noticed that there are often benches along the trails where you can rest or take in the view, and that staircase leading down gave you an even better view of the island.
While teaching, I learn from my student by
@hirohurl
Love the story about the average student and the value it can bring to the teacher... 😀 I wasn't taught in the school, despite my vocation being (almost) that. Still, I remember having interesting conversations with kids who attended my PC gaming club 22 years ago... 😃 Even from "bad kids" you could take some valuable lessons...
Speaking of movies, Léon the Professional was one of my favorite movies when it came out, and after that one, I think I got hooked on Jean Reno and his specific acting, or just "way to be" 😀... When I saw Natalie in some other movies, I didn't connect the dots that she was the girl from Léon the Professional... 😃
Slick Manicure | Mixed Media Project by

At 38, I can certainly attest that practice makes perfect, and you’re only going to keep refining your technique from here on out. I loved the story accompanying today’s design; it kept a smile on my face the whole time I was reading. The design is brilliant—you were clearly inspired—and I’ve realized I’m still a total novice when it comes to using Canva; I hope to practice more.
Trip Extras from the Azores by
@leaky20
Never been to the Azores and had no idea where it is... 😃 Luckily, there are Google Maps, so I could check it out... And to be honest... It looks like an (almost) perfect place for living... 😃 I know that you were hiking and that's why there aren't a lot of people around, but still, those houses from the end of the post also look so peaceful...
I'm a bit tired of living in a city, with all the noise from motorcycles, cars, and people yelling on the street, that I could easily imagine myself in the skin of that doggie in the middle of the crossing... 😂
5 July 2026, Freewriters Community Daily Writing Prompt Day 3155: I applied for that by
@deeanndmathews
For some reason, this story made me think of my own life a few years back. Perhaps the very title you chose reminds me of those years before the choir, when I was just starting to navigate this battered city, trying to make a living. Things turned out well for me in the end—despite the inevitable ups and downs—and I like feeling that I am among those helping to improve opportunities for future generations. Have a wonderful start to the week, my friend; I’m so glad I could stop by and say hello! 🙏
The story behind an emblematic bust and an abandoned zoo in the middle of the city of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. [ENG] [ESP] by
@ibarra95
It’s the first time I’ve seen anything like this: a bust of an important figure facing not the square but a specific spot, in this case their house, which has played such an important role in history, and I’ve really enjoyed learning about it.
But I also love the promenade with its colonial buildings; all that architecture and those important buildings are beautiful, especially the columns. It’s a shame, though, what you mentioned about the state of the country, particularly regarding cleanliness.
Now… the story you tell about the park is incredible; I can’t imagine the monkeys, flamingos and everything else there, a real zoo. That well-restored and refurbished park is going to look lovely; I hope they repair it as soon as possible!
