UnDressed to the Core
Alone in an empty room
The rage filled up the space
Tears flowed down her face
Alone in an empty room
She felt she could use some grace
She wanted to become
Stop running an ongoing race.
Undressed down to the core
Every ounce of vulnerability unveiled
Dangling before her like a thin unraveling thread.
Laying in a state of rejected silence
Far too long to allow breathe to fill her up again.
Curled into the ball of doughy numbness
The wish to be kneaded back to a shape
Became overwhelming.
Numbness was all she could feel
Not wanting to give into the burdens of the world.
