Contemplación y reflexión.

Contemplo el cielo desde mi balcón
un cielo azul y despejado.

Algunas aves llaman mi atención
mientras en bandada quebrantan el silencio.

Bebo a sorbos mi café
me acompañan la soledad y un cigarrillo.

Reflexiones diversas vienen y van
mis vivencias, mis tesoros, mis recuerdos, mi solar.

La vida es única y es como es
bella y cautivante o transgresora y mortal.

Contemplo el cielo, contemplo el mar
un sol opaco me invita a caminar.

Un fugaz paseo, para luego regresar
los vecinos me saludan, sin prisa, sin sobresaltos.

Contemplation and reflection

I gaze at the sky from my balcony
a blue, gentle, cloudless sky.

A few birds catch my eye
as they break the silence in a flock.

I sip my coffee
accompanied by solitude and a cigarette.

Various thoughts come and go
my experiences, my treasures, my memories, my home.

Life is unique and is what it is
beautiful and captivating or transgressive and deadly.

I gaze at the sky, I gaze at the sea
a dull sun invites me to go for a walk.

A fleeting stroll, then back again
the neighbours greet me, unhurried, without a fuss.
