Omaha Beach Memorial
Our tour of the Normandy beaches included a moving ceremony at this memorial, built on Omaha beach, the site of some of the most devastating US losses of WWII. We sang the National Anthem, and then a trumpeter played taps. It was a beautiful and sad tribute.
