Lost in the cloud

Following the maze with our fingers

Looking for an exit,
searching for the entrance
We navigated by the stars
Blue glowing rectangles
Riding the wavelengths
until the sky turned cloudy
Our eyes grew tired,
and our path was washed away,
as we lost our circadian rhythm
Looking into the light,
the mesmerizing blue light
A sleepless town.

Creating a drawing

In this piece the paper is prepared with water and ink washes, to create surface patterns. The wet paper was pressed against a zest grater to create tiny circular indents on the paper, before a dip pen was used to create a line drawing.


Water and ink were applied to the paper and moved around the page to create a maze like pattern.

More lines were added to the drawing using the dip pen and drawing inks.


Finally, layers of blue ink were added to the image with a brush.
