TOSHI: Dog's Loyalty and Devotion
Hi Steemians! It’s a wonderful day to share with you my most beloved companion, my dog best friend TOSHI :)
Toshi is half “AKITA” and half “ASPIN”. If you’ve watched the movie “HACHIKO” you would be familiar of the breed she's from.
According to Japanese history “AKITAs” were born as hunters for wild boars and bears due to their alertness and aggressiveness to other animals or dogs but never to his family. Today, Akitas were known for being passionate, devoted and loyal to its family.

On the other hand, “ASPINS” (Asong pinoy) is a native dog in the Philippines known for being independent and street smart. They were known their intelligence and being persistent in finding their own food and evasion skills as escape artist. You don’t normally learn that from sheltered environment.
Most aspins were found in the streets but some were rescued and adopted from shelters of different Animal welfare societies such as PAWS and AKF.

When I was in college, she would walk me to our subdivision and when she sees me about riding the jeepney to school she would just turn and go back home. She did the same to my mom when she goes to the market and dad when he goes to work. Even with the risk of walking the streets alone, no one can stop her. Thant's how persistent she is! And just like any other dog she would waggle her tail and run towards me when I got home. She loves playing with my sister and kids at home, dancing (yes! she always wiggle her body whenever she hears music :D ), hugging and she loves being with my family whenever we go to the beach or just watching tv. Awww I miss her so much!
Flying here in manila for my work means leaving Toshi at home. And it took me months to get used to not having her around. I thought of getting another dog but I never really get the chance to do so. So whenever I get the chance to have my once a year weeklong vacation and go back home to Bacolod I would always play with her and makes sure she doesn’t forget me. Because the day I decided to adopt her was one of the best decisions I made in my life.
WHAT'S YOUR DOG STORY?
Thanks for Dropping by! :)
