Do you like Pixel Art ? I do

Hey guys just wanna share my experience with doing pixel art! Well as you know from my introduction post https://steemit.com/teammalaysia/@onigiry/hello-im-new-here, i forgot to mention one thing i like to do is pixel art! With many years learning how to draw with a digital software. I became more interest on pixel?

First discover on pixel art for me is on deviantart website. People put their profile icon with these small jagged picture known to be a pixel. I got interested because people can draw that small!! at the same time its look perfectly fine?

Here my character named sona. i made her a pixel icon for my web account profile picture.I love to animate simple movement on my pixel works. Sometimes can be complex it really depends on my mood. Heh.....but anyway share step by step process! I hope you can see it lol. It is very small to start with. Original size is 50x50 pixel.

1. sketch the character pose and line it 1 pixel wight with pencil tool
2. Add base color to the character
3. I include a background to fill the 50x50 pixel icon and adding some detail like the glasses on top the layer
4. I color the line pixel to make more pretty and add shading for depth
5. Since there a background i wanted the character to pop more so i did an outline pixel around her with adding more details.
6. Lastly when im happy with the result i saved as PNG, then animated it! moving some pixel parts and fix it. Used 7 frames to animate this.

I really love pixel art! Even thought its a small piece of digital art but you can make as big or as small you want! Pixel art can be tricky to master but hey if you love it then try learn it! Ive done pixel art for 7 years already and im still impress with many artist how they can animate it smoothly with good picture of the character itself ( not distorted ). Software i used is Paint Tool Sai, Photoshop and GraphicsGale. You can still do pixel art in any art software i think? as long got the pencil to the smallest sized like 1 pixel.
