Has it always been this way?
Have we always been this eager to take pot shots at the heads that peek above the parapet? Always quick to weed out the ideologically impure? Seems to me that the double-edged sword of social media has emboldened the once meek followers to mob, bully and harass those willing to buck a trend or shake things up.
