American Gold Eagle
Us Gold eagles are a sought after coin, a must for every collectors. It's also one of my favorite coins.
Eagles are gold bullions that represents the US similar Maple leafs to Canada and Krugerrand for South Africa.
This is one of the most popular series for the United States. They are available in sizes from 1/10 oz all the way up to 1 oz. Premium for 1/10 is about $10 so the coin now sells for about $280. If you get an new uncirculated coin is $230. My coin is an older coin so it's worth more than newer ones.
The Gold Eagle is 1/10 oz, .999 pure gold, the obverse design is the $20 Saint-Gaudens double eagle design.
The reverse has two eagles.
