Contrasts on Lake Superior : Fire and Ice
These are some photos to show the incredible contrasts of the Seasons on Lake Superior. 🇨🇦
This is a photo from a tranquil evening sunset this summer during the month of August.
This is February on the Lake. It looks like another planet.
This winter has been warm and there is open water. Usually this beach is covered with Snowmobile tracks.
The open water is pushing incredible sheets of ice onto the shore. It is very dangerous.
Ice caves are forming along the shore.... I would have loved to have watched these being created. It probably happened during the night, when it’s really cold. -30 Celsius and colder.
