Tonight I want to share with friends "Fungi Lover" about fungus that I found on palm oil palms.

Last Wednesday, 22-12-2021, I went for a walk in one of the oil palm plantations in "Cot Geulungku".

In this garden there are several piles of empty bunches that are dry and overgrown with ear fungus.

Usually every harvest Fresh fruit bunches from the plantation are transported and processed at the palm oil mill. According to my estimation, several piles of empty bunches that have dried are the result of processing coconut oil in the palm oil plantation, or indeed the piles of empty bunches failed to harvest and the empty bunches were collected in one place, this is just my guess.

The pile of empty bunches had long since dried up and was overgrown with ear fungus. these mushrooms grow very fresh. And there are some people who consume ear mushrooms that grow on empty palm bunches.

This ear fungus is different from the ear fungus that is often sold by people in the markets in that it is dark brown, chewy, and wavy like people's ears, while this ear fungus is milky white and soft.
