First Time Making Tapache Probiotic drink
This fermented drink made me very curious about how it would be served after 3 days of shelf life. I was skeptical at first, but after finding this recipe I was eager to try it. The ingredients are also very easy, processed from simple ingredients in the form of pineapple skin that we usually throw away.
Tapache Drinks
Tapache is a typical Mexican drink that is processed through a fermentation process by making it from pineapple skin. The fermentation process is done by combining sugar with pineapple skin and also other ingredients in the form of spices such as ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
This drink has a sour and sweet taste and contains high probiotics so it is very good for the health of your body who consumes it. Because of this, it makes me curious to try it, because it is made from ingredients that we usually throw away.
Well curious not with the recipe, let's look at the step by step preparation!.
Ingredients Used
1 pineapple peel
7 cm cinnamon
3 cm ginger
5 cloves
4 tablespoons sugar
Mineral water to taste
Making Procedure
Step 1
Pineapple skin is cut into thick pieces and taken out.
Step 2
Then wash until the pineapple skin is completely clean.
Step 3
Then dissolve granulated sugar in a jar with 100 ml of warm water.
Step 4
Then put the pineapple skin into the jar and also all the other ingredients.
Step 5
Slowly add mineral water until the pineapple skin sinks, store and close tightly in a container at room temperature.
Step 6
After being stored for 2 days, the next day I checked my tapache drink was finished because there was froth on the upper part.
Step 7
Opened the lid and the aroma was delicious, a sweet pineapple aroma. Strain the drink then take the water and add it to the gelaa.
Result
Tara!!
The first time I enjoyed the tapache drink I served two glasses for my husband to enjoy. He was very happy to enjoy it, the taste was very fitting on the tongue sweet and slightly sour typical of pineapple. I didn't believe it would smell bad at first, but beyond my expectations the aroma is very distinctive indeed.
For those of you who have never tried this probiotic drink, I think this is an easy way to prepare a simple healthy drink at home to help our health.
