Kubera is one of the lesser known deitites of Hinduism. But, did you know Kubera was known as the god of wealth before Lakshmi?
Kubera is the guardian of the north direction, king of the nature spirits and treasurer of the gods. He is responsible for safe-keeping all the wealth in the world. He can be worshiped alone, or in conjunction with Lakshmi.
Worship of Kubera and Lakshmi together provide phenomenal results and a rise in prosperity.
The original Kubera mantra is
om shreem om hreem shreem hreem kleem vitteswaraaya namah
the mantra for both Kubera and Lakshmi is
om shree mahalakshmyai cha vidmahe vishnu patnyai cha deemahi tanno lakhmi prachodayat
chant the mantras daily and slowly increase your chances for prosperity.
