Stop unecessary comparison

We live in a world were people tends to compare themselves with others. They either compare their dress, achievement and other things. Comparison to some extent might not be too bad , because it motivates us, but what we do after the comparison and how we handle it is what makes it good or bad.

‎This age of social media is not even helping matters, because you will look at someone else's achievements and begin to question your own progress. And this may lead you to depression. One of the greatest dangers of comparison is that it robs you of happiness.
‎Comparison is the act of measuring yourself or achievement with others. In life , instead of focusing on our personal growth, we tend to compare our appearance, income, education, careers, relationships, possessions, and even our life journeys. Comparison is a thief of joy, confidence, and peace of mind.

‎Negative Effects of Comparison

‎Comparison leads to low self esteem, because you will end up focusing more on what you lack than what you have. With time this will make you lack confident in yourself and make you feel inadequate even when you are making progress.

‎It also lead to unhealthy competition, instead of celebrating others achievement, you might end up envying them. Jealousy and resentment set in and that alone might affect your relationship with people.
‎Comparison will always distract you from your purpose, even when you are performing your unique purpose and assignment in life, you will always feel that you are not in the right tract because you wish to be like others. Your life was never designed to be a copy of someone else's. But you might even neglect your real purpose in life and chase what is not yours.

‎The next time you find yourself comparing your life with someone else, pause and celebrate every small achievement you make, limit exposure to content that constantly makes you feel inadequate. And thank God for where you are , while making effort to achieve more.

Don't envy others instead let what you sre comparing motivate you to do more.
