#7 Lack of liquidity deters extensive adoption.
Increased liquidity would mean rate stability, easier, more cost effective transactions, and extra investor confidence. It would also prevent Bitcoin whales, or large buys, from manipulating cryptocurrency prices.
Stability and quickly transactions translate to wider cryptocurrency adoption, which means that humans besides cyberpunks and techies would feel comfortable converting their U.S. dollars into cryptocurrencies knowing that they ought to without problems convert it again barring paying steep transaction fees.
Today, however, exchanges do not have ample liquidity to furnish these functions, no matter the fact that cryptocurrency adoption is on the rise. Some advise that the excellent way to extend liquidity is to create a large trade pool used through a couple of exchanges.
