Two New Friends

Three things that I have found that are extremely important for comfort and coping with severe depression and anxiety: Cute, Soft, Colorful.

And these guys sure fit the bill! My father-in-law gave both my husband and I a little money each for Christmas. So I treated myself to these colorful soft cuties at the pharmacy when I had to go in and figure out how to get my expensive heart medication that my insurance won't cover. (I don't ever want to go back on that cheap shit I was on for almost a decade before. It was making me sicker in other ways.)

I don't care if you think it's strange for a twenty-eight year old man to have cute stuffed animals. They're cute and comforting and happy and sometimes even adults need that. Especially the ones that are really struggling with severe depression, anxiety, health issues, among other things.

I also collect colorful socks and blankets. Because colorful and soft.
