Todos en el estudio seguían muy emocionados haber participado en el evento de Apple Park, sin embargo, no había días de descanso, ya que su tiempo en Estados Unidos cada vez era menos y también menos tiempo para terminar el álbum que estaban preparando junto a Apple Music. Daniel desde la distancia seguía atentos y los llamó —Muchachos, llegó el momento de que hagan esa séptima canción, tiene que ser divertida y que la gente también necesita canciones que la hagan sonreír— Esa llamada fue perfecta para recargar energía y todos ya estaban en sus puestos de trabajo.

Lucas comenzó a tocar una melodía muy alegre con la guitarra, Michelle empezó a improvisar una letra llena de ocurrencias y pequeños momentos de la vida cotidiana, Richard marcó un ritmo diferente golpeando la mesa antes de sentarse frente a la batería y, por primera vez desde que llegaron a Estados Unidos, el estudio parecía más una reunión de amigos que una sesión de grabación. Hasta lograr conseguir una canción que fuera muy distinta y que transmitiría energía desde el primer segundo.

Everyone in the studio was still very excited about having participated in the Apple Park event; however, there were no days off, since their time in the United States was running out and they had less and less time to finish the album they were working on with Apple Music. Daniel, watching from afar, called out to them: “Guys, it’s time to write that seventh song. It has to be fun—people need songs that make them smile, too.” That call was just what they needed to recharge, and they were all back at their workstations in no time.

Lucas began playing a very cheerful melody on the guitar; Michelle started improvising lyrics full of witty ideas and little moments from everyday life; Richard set a different rhythm by tapping on the table before sitting down at the drum set; and, for the first time since they arrived in the United States, the studio felt more like a gathering of friends than a recording session. They kept at it until they came up with a song that was truly unique and would radiate energy from the very first second.

Horas después terminaron el primer ensayo y todos aplaudieron por lo que habían logrado, además Michelle comentó —Esta canción tiene algo especial— Daniel también sonrió y añadió —Eso era exactamente lo que estaba buscando y ustedes como Banda están haciendo algo nuevo y no muchas bandas se atreven a salir de su zona de confort—

Luego de toda una semana de trabajo decidieron hacer algo distinto y por eso fueron a un pequeño restaurante muy conocido por recibir músicos y artistas locales. Cuando llegaron todos las personas que estaba allí de inmediato reconocieron a la Banda 17 siendo algo maravilloso, mientras los integrantes se miraron sorprendidos y nunca imaginaron que, estando tan lejos de casa, habría personas que conocieran su música. Mientras disfrutaban de la cena alguien se les acercó y les pidió una canción, donde los cinco se miraron y respondieron —Claro que sí—

A few hours later, they finished their first rehearsal, and everyone applauded what they had accomplished. Michelle also commented, “There’s something special about this song.” Daniel smiled too and added, “That was exactly what I was looking for, and you guys, as a band, are doing something new—not many bands dare to step outside their comfort zone.”

After a whole week of work, they decided to do something different, so they went to a small restaurant well-known for hosting local musicians and artists. When they arrived, everyone there immediately recognized Banda 17, which was wonderful. The band members looked at each other in surprise—they never imagined that, so far from home, there would be people who knew their music. While they were enjoying dinner, someone approached them and asked for a song. The five of them looked at each other and replied, “Of course!”

Se subieron a una pequeña tarima y allí comenzaron a tocar y cantar sus canciones, donde todos aplaudían y disfrutaban de ese ritmo que caracteriza a la banda. Al terminar recibieron una gran cantidad de aplausos, se tomaron fotografías y esa noche fue especial para todos los que estaban allí. They climbed onto a small stage and began playing and singing their songs, while everyone clapped and enjoyed the band’s signature rhythm. When they finished, they received a huge round of applause, took photos, and that night was special for everyone who was there. As they headed back to the hotel, Michelle said aloud, “I think this album is finding its own personality, even though we still have the last few songs to go.” Everyone smiled, knowing that their trip through the United States was coming to an end, but also that they were getting closer and closer to completing the most important project of their lives.
