Some of her statement sounds good to me, but some of it rings false. She claims that “today’s Democratic Party [is] under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers….” Democratic warmongers? Really? Where is the warmongering? Does a stated determination to support Taiwan against aggression from mainland China constitute warmongering? Does providing military equipment and financial support for Ukraine against Russian aggression constitute warmongering?
And what exactly is “cowardly” about wokeness? It may be misguided, but how is it cowardly?
It’s true that many of the leaders and decision-makers in the Democratic Party could be called members of America’s political and economic elite. But can it really be denied that many Democratic Party political positions champion poor people, minorities, and others who struggle to realize the American dream? The party of Pelosi, Obama, and Biden is not all about fat cats and power elites, is it?
