Trying Archery, A New Activity In Japan
Hello everyone,
In my previous post, I walked you through the vibrant Shin-Sekai area, teeming with restaurants, shops, and activities to give you a taste of Japanese culture. Now, I'd like to shift our focus to the captivating sport of Archery.
Located in the heart of the Jan Jan district, there's an exclusive Japanese archery shop that offers an authentic and exciting new experience for those looking to delve deeper into Japanese traditions.
Typically, archery involves standing while aiming and shooting. However, this unique shop requires you to take a seat while releasing your arrows. As someone who has never tried shooting while standing, I can't compare the two postures, but the seated method has its own charm.
Though the distance to the target isn't substantial, it can still be quite challenging for beginners. But fret not! If you're unfamiliar with the techniques, the friendly staff will guide you through the process in English.
The targets are marked with scores, and if you manage to hit a high score, your achievement won't go unnoticed. Your target will be displayed in the shop, joining the ranks of other high scorers' targets adorning the wall.
For a price of 1000 JPY, you get 10 attempts to prove your archery skills.
So, if you ever find yourself in the Jan Jan district, don't pass up the opportunity to try this unique experience!
I hope you enjoy my post.
