Spectacularly unproductive day today (I'm probably ill). Still I have three hours of research methods content to plan for tomorrow morning so tomorrow is as good a time as any to deploy The Red Envelopes.
Two groups of students. Two envelopes each. In one envelope are 36 terms that are frequently used in research methods. In the other envelope are 36 definitions. The students have to match the definition to the term.
Boom, just by deploying the envelopes I've planned an hour of content.
There's a very good chance that I might be a terrible teacher, but that's one hour down two to go. Probably going to do yet another 5am start to get this one done again.
