Snowmobiling In May
In one of my previous rants I talked about how the terrain of Nunavut made for some amazing springtime snowmobiling. Because I went out for some photographs of landscapes and (hopefully) animals I didn't go with a group of people but I did come across a pair of snowmobilers having fun!
The Blue sled contains a Kindergarten teacher at our local school gaining courage as she begins to catwalk over the crest of a hill. She was not going as hardcore as her nephew in red! Ahh the carefreeness of youth!
I also came across one of the MANY natural petroleum seeps throughout Nunavut. When out on the land you often see this wet, black liquid oozing down the sides of cliffs. I tried to smell it, but I think all I could smell was the gasoline from the snowmobile exhaust. I have been told that it is a natural petrol seep, though.
